Overview

Engineered Wood Products OSR/Specialist :
We’re looking for a results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to drive sales of engineered wood products (EWP) within a defined territory of Eastern and Central NY, and New England. This role involves working closely with building supply dealers and design professionals to promote and grow product usage.

The ideal candidate will bring a solid knowledge of structural framing systems and building materials, along with a proven ability to build strong customer relationships and close sales.

Job Duties

• Build and sustain strong relationships with lumber dealers, builders, architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Drive sales of engineered wood products such as I-joists, LVL, rim board, and related structural systems.
• Plan and execute territory sales activities, including lead generation, cold outreach, and follow-up.
• Conduct product demonstrations and deliver training sessions to current and prospective customers.
• Collaborate with technical teams to provide design support, layout guidance, and project-specific solutions.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics to maintain a competitive edge.
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and professional training sessions as needed.

Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of engineered wood products, framing systems, and construction methods preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and structural drawings is a plus.
• Self-driven, well-organized, and capable of managing a dynamic travel schedule.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel within the assigned territory.
• Experience working with lumberyards or building supply dealers

Software & Proficiency

• Proficient with MiTek, Alpine, or Simpson software is a plus.
• Familiarity with EWP software
• CRM Software
• Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point

Education & Training

HS or college grad, or experience in place of degree.
