Designer-Truss | HZ00004

A leading provider of building materials is seeking experienced Truss Designers to join its growing design team. This is a full-time position with remote, hybrid, or in-office flexibility. The ideal candidate will have strong MiTek software experience and a solid understanding of roof and floor truss design for residential and commercial projects.

• Create accurate truss layout and shop drawings from architectural and structural plans
• Optimize designs for material efficiency and structural performance
• Use MiTek software, CAD tools, and Microsoft Office for design and documentation
• Collaborate with engineers, sales teams, and customers to ensure design intent is met
• Address questions from production teams and builders regarding truss packages
• Assist with technical problem-solving and quality assurance across projects

• 5+ years of experience with MiTek roof and floor truss design
• Strong knowledge of structural codes, truss manufacturing, and production equipment
• Proficiency in CAD and Microsoft Office
• Strong mathematical, spatial reasoning, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to support and review work of other designers

High School or GED acceptable. Must be able to speak, read, comprehend, and write fluently in English.
